All financial donations to MASA are considered unrestricted (undesignated) unless otherwise indicated. MASA commits to use all donations in a way consistent with our Mission Statement: to provide hospitality services and enhance the ministry opportunities for our International Association of Missionary Aviation (IAMA) members and guests.
Restricted (designated) gifts over $500 must include a written agreement, approved by the board of directors, to insure the donation is used as intended and is in the best interest of the MASA organization.
As a 501 (c)(3) association, donations to MASA are tax deductible as allowed by law.
Equipment/personal property loaned to MASA remains the responsibility of the owner and the owner shall provide written proof of adequate insurance. MASA staff and volunteers will make every reasonable effort to protect and care for the items loaned to the organization and will contact the owner in a timely manner should the items sustain or cause damage. The owner agrees to file a claim with his/her insurance provider should the equipment (or personal property) cause or sustain damage.
An annual financial report shall be presented at the MASA annual meeting and shall include actual and projected income and expenses. The report shall also show the sources of income in categories. Upon approval, the report will be placed on the MASA website and sent to donors and participating churches.
MASA will facilitate the connection between people who wish to loan vehicles for the IAMA missionaries and guests. Vehicles loaned to IAMA missionaries and guests are not considered a donation to MASA.
